Nine Killed In Northern Russia Mine Explosion

Nine people have been killed and eight are feared trapped after a mine explosion in northern Russia.

The Russian Interior Ministry said the blast, at a mine owned by a division of one of the country's largest steel producers Severstal, was caused by a buildup of methane gas.

Workers were feared trapped under rubble at the pit in the northern Komi region.
